	The Zipp 520 Clincher rim is the basis for the proven 808 clincher wheelset. The 81mm deep rim was originally designed for time trials and triathlon, but has become a standard in road racing applications.




The 520’s combination of aerodynamics and light weight add up to one of Zipp’s fastest rims, providing almost as much speed as a disc, but without as much crosswind sensitivity. In addition, Zipp is one of the few rim manufacturers to make use of clincher technology in rims of this depth. 




The Zipp 808 wheel is the first choice of triathletes, and time-trialists: winning the Ironman World Championship with Normann Stadler and the fastest Tour de France time trial in history under David Zabriskie. Fabian Cancellara rode 808s to victory with his solo attacks at the Tour de France and Milan-San Remo.




The 520’s structural carbon rim section is melded with Zipp’s proprietary sub 200g welded alloy rim in an exclusive and patent pending process delivering a unique combination of clincher versatility with the advantages of high performance carbon rims. The m2cm technology incorporates a custom post-machining operation that finishes each one of these 81mm rims with a perfectly parallel, machined braking surface.
