Zipp has moved the non-drive-side bearing outboard, placing it 7.5mm closer to the dropout, increasing axle stiffness. The 188 hub features a fully adjustable axle preload mechanism threaded on a stiff 17mm axle. The axle is supported by precision 6803 Swiss bearings to further reduce rolling resistance.
