The Enve Composites (formerly Edge Composites) 2.65 tubular is a more robust version of the 1.65. It shares the same 65mm profile as the 1.65, but tips the scales slightly heavier at 440g.
The 2.65 (Standard) is a stiffer, more robust version of the Enve 1.65 tubular rim (Ultralite). The additional material aids in improving impact resistance and creates a slightly stronger and more robust rim than the 1.65.
Like all Enve rims, the 2.65 takes advantage of a proprietary laminate and sidewall design to allow them to carry much higher spoke tensions than any rims in their class. This design dramatically improves nipple seating angles, which extends spoke fatigue life and wheel durability.
