The Enve Composites (formerly Edge Composites) 1.25 carbon tubular is one of the lightest rims available. This is the ultimate rim for an uphill TT or riders seeking an ultra-lightweight wheelset.
The 1.25 is 25mm deep and weighs a mere 250g. The carbon braking surface was designed to minimize and dissipate heat, while providing a considerably lighter rim than those with traditional alloy braking surfaces.
The 1.25 takes advantage of Enve's proprietary laminate and sidewall design, which allows the 1.25 rim to carry a much higher spoke tension than any rim in its class. This design dramatically improves nipple seating angles, which extends spoke fatigue life and wheel durability.
