The Enve Composites (formerly Edge Composites) 45 clincher is one of the most versatile carbon rims available. Using all-carbon construction, the Enve 45 clincher was designed with a 45mm rim profile to optimize aerodynamics while reducing rim weight to a mere 440g. The carbon braking surface was designed to minimize and dissipate heat, while providing a considerably lighter rim than those with traditional alloy braking surfaces.
Enve's proprietary molding process creates a spoke interface that permits higher tensions than most other carbon rims. This design dramatically improves nipple seating angles, which extends spoke fatigue life and wheel durability.
