The TK 540 is a strong box-section rim well suited for cyclocross, touring and commuting applications. If you're looking for a trouble-free long distance rim that can accommodate wider tires, the TK 540 is an excellent choice. Available for rim or disc brakes.

We like building wheels with DT Swiss rims due to their extremely consistent weld joint and overall roundness. These characteristics allow durable wheels to be built with a high degree of precision, and with low spoke tension variance. TK 540 rims are available in black or gray with 32 or 36 spoke count.

The TK 540 disc is available for disc brake applications in 32 spoke count only.

Note: The TK 540 (disc) was formerly known as the TK 7.1 (d). They're the same great rims with new names.
