DT Swiss 240s Road Rear Hub

This high-precision Swiss-engineered rear hub uses a 15mm axle to maximize rear wheel stiffness. The 240s is the signature DT Swiss hub and is the gold standard for lightweight high-quality hubs.

Multi-speed cassettes can create asymmetrical, highly dished wheels. With many hubs, this asymmetry doesn't allow sufficient spoke tension on the non-drive-side of the wheel, leading to poor durability and lateral stiffness. DT Swiss focused on this issue and developed the 240s road hub with optimized flange geometry to improve wheel symmetry.

DT Swiss' patented Star Ratcheting System offers low maintenance, ultimate strength and quick engagement. The 18-tooth ratchet allows for a more positive pick-up when you hammer down on the cranks. DT Swiss' proprietary coating on the ratchet and axles improves the lifespan of the hub. The 240s is a sealed cartridge bearing hub, performing well in wet conditions. The contact free flange seals enclose the highest quality corrosion resistant stainless steel bearings, which improves rolling efficiency and durability.
