The PowerTap G3 hub has been redesigned to optimize stiffness and weight. Hub flange spacing was increased to improve lateral wheel stiffness, while weight was reduced by 90g to bring the G3 down to an impressive 325g. Internal hub electronics have been moved outboard and are housed within the Power Dome to allow for easier service and battery replacement.
