The 268g Chris King Classic rear road hubs are the ultimate in lightweight, high performance, long lasting hubs. All hubs feature the legendary King stainless steel sealed bearings and are 100% manufactured in Portland, Oregon.
Chris Kings rear hubs utilize the RingDrive engagement mechanism, which uses 72 teeth on each drive ring to allow drive forces to engage three times quicker than the standard 24-tooth pawl-style freehub. This patented mechanism is the source of the classic Chris King freewheel sound.
Heavy duty option: For riders who want the additional stiffness and holding power of a bolt on axle, the rear Classic road hub is available with a bolt-on axle and stainless steel driveshell. The bolt-on axle allows the use of either FunBolts or quick release adapters for maximum versatility.
