Chris King Classic rear cyclocross hubs are the ultimate in high performance, long lasting hubs. All hubs feature the legendary King stainless steel sealed bearings and are 100% manufactured in Portland, Oregon.
Chris King's cyclocross hub builds on the strength of the Chris King Classic rear hub by running a 19.5mm axle from dropout to dropout for maximum rigidity and frame stiffness. The aluminum hubshell uses equal size flanges that build durable wheels by keeping the spoke lengths even and short.
Chris King rear hubs utilize the RingDrive engagement mechanism, which uses 72 engagement teeth on each drive ring so the hub engages three times more quickly than the standard 24-tooth pawl-style freehub. This mechanism is the source of the classic Chris King freewheel sound.
