Yes. You can use your existing ceramic bearings and reuse your existing non drive side end cap. You will need to use the 11 speed specific drive side end cap that is supplied with the new free hub body. With the 11 speed end cap, re-dishing should not be necessary, and any misalignment will be very slight.

This freehub body will convert your existing 10spd DT Swiss 240s rear hub to 11spd. As long as the hub has been properly lubricated and serviced over the years, you should get many more years of service. With the 11 speed end cap, re-dishing should not be necessary, and any misalignment will be very slight.

Hello John,

Yes, this is the correct freehub body you would need in order to convert your DT 350 Campy hub with the DT Swiss Star Ratchet system into a Shimano 11 speed hub. This will also be backwards compatible to 10/9 speed by using a spacer.

Hi Joe,

As long as these wheels use the DT Swiss Star Ratchet system in the freehub, you will need to replace only the freehub body with the DT Swiss 11 speed freehub body. It comes with an 11 speed end cap so usually no re-dishing is needed. As far as the bearings go, I doubt your stock bearings would be ceramic. The only way to tell would be to open them up, or maybe contact Specialized. We do have ceramic options available if you would like to upgrade.

We believe those wheels are upgradeable to 11 speed. The existing literature on the web specifies that the hubs in these wheels contain DT Swiss Star Ratchet Mechanisms. This means that they share the same internal design space as a DT Swiss 240s & 190.

To be certain, follow the instructions on this video - https://youtu.be/iko1_87I3kY - which illustrates how to service a DT Swiss hub. Or, have your shop service the hubs and confirm that there are Star Ratchet Mechanisms in your hubs. If there are Star Ratchet Mechanisms in your hubs, then they can be upgraded to 11 speed. A slight re-dish will be necessary.

If the wheels utilize a standard pawl free hub body, then they are not convertible to 11 speed.

A quick google search reveals that your DT Swiss R1850 rear wheel uses the DT Swiss Star Ratchet Mechanism. If this is indeed the case, then yes, you can upgrade your freehub body with this product.
