Q1. Are the covers hard to install?
No. The disc covers should take you 5-10 minutes to install. They require the cassette to be removed before installation. Click here for more information on installation.

Q2. Can you make a disc cover for my wheel?
We can custom trim a disc cover for almost any wheel, provided there is enough clearance for the covers to fit between your cassette and the drive side spokes. You will need to verify that your wheel has at least 5mm of clearance between the drive side spokes and the large cog on your cassette. Wheels with less than 5mm of clearance allow the covers to touch the chain, cog-set, or even the derailleur.

Q3. What bikes are known NOT to work with disc covers?
We can custom trim a disc cover for almost any spoked wheel, but some TT and TRI bikes that have narrow chain stays are known not to work with disc covers: The following bikes are known not to be compatible with the AeroJacket.

Q4: What wheels are known NOT to work with disc covers?
We can custom trim a disc cover for almost any spoked wheel, but there are some wheels with known compatibility issues.
Reasons for incompatibility are:
- Insufficient clearance between your cassette and the drive side spokes. The covers require at least 5mm of clearance between the drive side spokes and the large cog on your cassette. Wheels with less than 5mm of clearance allow the covers to touch the chain, cog-set, or even the derailleur.
- Very deep rim sections: in excess of 100mm. The covers do not lie completely flat when they're extremely small.
Wheels and hubs that are always incompatible with covers:
- Track or Fixie wheels
- Single speed wheels
- Front wheels
- Tandem wheels
- Wheels with disc brakes
- All 3, 4 or 5 spoke composite wheels including HED H3C, HED H3, H3D, X-Core 3-Spoke, Aerospoke, etc.
- Shimano factory produced wheels with Shimano hubs
- NOTE: Most wheels with Shimano drivetrains are okay. Wheels that do not work are Shimano's factory builds listed above and generally say "Shimano," "Dura Ace" etc. on the rim
- Campagnolo factory produced wheels, including the following models: Zonda, Eurus, Shamal Ultra, Bora Ultra, Hyperion Ultra, Neutron Ultra, Ghibli Ultra, Scirocco, Vento Reaction, Khamsin
- NOTE: Many wheels with Campagnolo drivetrains will work. Wheels that do not work are Campagnolo's factory built wheels listed above and say "Campagnolo" on the rim
- Fulcrum wheels, including the following models: Racing Chrono, Racing Speed, Racing Speed XLR, Racing Light XLR, Racing Zero 2-Way Fit, Racing Zero, Racing 1 2-Way Fit, Racing 1, Racing 3 2-Way Fit, Racing 3, Racing 5, Racing 7
- Lightweight brand wheels

Wheels that are often incompatible with covers:
- In some Campagnolo hubs, cassettes are located a bit closer to the drive side spokes and may require a small (1mm) spacer to allow extra clearance

Q5: Why does my disc cover have so much warpage?
The disc covers will generally fit pretty loosely and look tight as a drum, however there are a few things that can cause severe warpage.
Problem 1:
If the center hole on the cover comes in contact with your hub or drive mechanism they can prevent it from properly seating and cause some pretty bad warpage.
Solution 1:
Open up the center hole large enough to provide adequate clearance for the hub flange or drive mechanism. This will allow the covers to sit as close to the spokes as possible and will usually eliminate warpage.
Use a fine file to lightly sand the hole if it only needs to be opened a few mm. If the center hole needs to be opened up significantly larger use the following procedure.
- Scribe a circle of the proper diameter around the existing center hole being careful to keep the new hole concentric with the original.
- Find a can, bottle, or any other solid round object of the proper diameter that can be used to trace around the scribe line with an X-acto knife or razor blade.
- Apply VERY LIGHT PRESSURE with the knife blade to create a groove in the plastic disc cover material. Repeat this process until the knife has cut approximately 1/2 way through the disc material.
- Lightly flex the material around the scribe line until the center hole breaks out cleanly.
Problem 2:
If the fasteners are too short they will apply too much pressure to the cover and can cause warpage between the attachment points.
Solution 2:
Troubleshoot by unscrewing each fastener 3-4 turns. If the covers fit nicely using longer fasteners we can provide them. We keep a list of commonly used wheels and the appropriate fastener lengths, however some wheels are not on our list. Fasteners are available in 1/4"(6.3mm), 3.8"(9.5mm), 1/2"(12.6mm), 5/8"(15.9mm), 3/4"(19mm), 7/8"(22.2mm) and 1"(25.4mm) lengths.

Q6. How do I measure my wheel?
Disc covers are trimmed to fit each type of wheel. You can measure your rim profile height with a simple ruler or with a pair of calipers.

Q9 How long does it take for the covers to get to me?
It takes us 1-2 days to process, cut, prep and package your order. We ship exclusively with FedEx and depending upon your location please allow an additional 1 to 5 business days for shipping time. Since we are located in the Los Angeles area, Southern California deliveries typically take 1 to 2 days. Northern California deliveries take 2 days. Deliveries to the Mid West take 3 to 4 days and East Coast is 5 days. FedEx does not deliver on Saturday or to a residential address unless specified. Shipments valued over $250 must be signed for upon arrival.
