Industry Nine Torch Rear Road/CX Disc Hub Industry Nine Colors

Industry Nine has built an excellent reputation in the MTB world for delivering high quality, durable and beautiful components. The Torch road/cx disc hub design was inspired by their highly successful Torch MTB hub. The company leveraged years of successful design research and manufacturing with the Torch MTB hub to create a beautiful high performance road hub that offers excellent stiffness and weight to strength characteristics.

A high level of quality assurance is maintained at Industry Nine by precisely controlling the production process of their components. Anodizing, laser etching and manufacturing of the hub shells, axles, end caps, pawls, drive rings, free hub spacers and even the Teflon contact seals are done 100% in house at their Ashville, North Carolina facility. The hubs are also fully user serviceable and require no special tools.

Industry Nine components are field tested in the temperate rain forest of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In order to combat the wet conditions, all of their hub offerings feature superiorly sealed, durable and smooth rolling ABEC 5 grade Enduro Japanese bearings. If you require (or lust after) ceramic bearings, Wheelbuilder offers a Ceramic Speed bearing upgrade.

The rear Torch road disc hub features the same driver technology as the latest Torch Mountain hubs and are rated to withstand 700 ft/lbs of torque. Industry Nine reduced the pawl count from 6 to 3 in order to achieve lower drag and weight, while still achieving an industry leading (for road disc hubs) 6 degrees of engagement with a 60 tooth drivering. This high level of engagement is ideal for quick power transfer, making these hubs very well suited for sprinters, cyclocross applications or anything that requires quick on and off power.

The Torch hubs are available in a wide variety of beautifully anodized colors and Wheelbuilder orders the hubs in pairs to ensure perfect color matching.

Go beyond the factory wheel spec and customize your wheelset with a beautiful Industry Nine Torch road hub.
