DT Competition Double Butted Spoke

The DT Competition double butted spoke was designed for all-purpose use where weight, strength and cost must be balanced. Typical applications range from mountain bikes, to road racing, to tandem and commuter use.

DT Swiss's most popular double butted spoke is manufactured in black and silver. Lengths are available from 240-300mm (Black) and 240-310mm (Silver) with wire diameter 2.0-1.8-2.0mm (neck-body-thread).

  • Weight: 32 spokes weigh 191g (32 x 264mm); 5.97g / spoke
  • Colors: black and silver

  • Odd lengths: can be cut and thread-rolled for a $0.40 surcharge

Carbon rims that utilize external nipples typically require 14mm nipples. A reduction in spoke length is not necessary. A longer nipple will provide better thread protection and is easier build with.
